Q:How far can this measure i.e. if you need to check temperature of roof which is 24m high will it reach it?
A: This infrared thermometers has a 6:1 distance to spot ratio. The object you're checking the temperature of must be larger than the spot (area being measured) or you will be measuring the temperature of things outside of the spot area.
Using these infrared thermometers at a distance of 6" will mean the spot size is 1"
