Q: What format, and how is the data displayed, will the unit record and display average noise levels?
A: db is the measuremant format. The datalogger doesn't record over a set time period so it cannot give you an average.

Q; Does this machine record the peak level of a voice or any acoustic instrument and save the result - I ask because it is impossible to point a sound meter at my mouth and be able to see the result? Thanks.
A; Yes, this is done through the MAX/MIN data hold function not the datalogger.
