A:PH7 is fine. We would suggest calibrating nearest to the ph range you will be working in

Q - Can you measure the ph of sauces, pickles, yoghurts, and other foods?
A - This meter is not suitable for testing the pH of foods, the probe would not last very long and would need thoroughly cleaning after every use.
For testing the pH of food we would recommend the Food pH Meter - Mettler Toledo FiveGo Food Kit.
